Haircut AI (“the App”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
Information We Collect
Haircut AI does not require account creation. We do not directly collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personally identifiable information from users.
The App may process photos that you voluntarily capture or upload in order to provide haircut recommendations and hairstyle preview images.
Face Data and Photo Processing
Haircut AI processes only the selfie photo that you voluntarily capture or upload. The photo may include face data or face-related information such as visible facial features, estimated face shape, forehead width, cheekbone width, jaw width, chin shape, face length, hairline, hair density, hair texture, and current hairstyle.
Haircut AI uses this information only to provide the App’s core features:
Generating haircut recommendations
Estimating face shape for hairstyle fit
Explaining why certain hairstyles may fit your face shape
Generating hairstyle preview images
Saving optional on-device analysis history so you can view prior results
Haircut AI does not use face data to identify you, authenticate you, track you, advertise to you, build biometric templates, sell user data, or create facial recognition profiles.
Third-Party AI Processing
Haircut AI uses third-party AI processing to provide haircut recommendations and hairstyle preview images.
When you use these features, the selected selfie and related hairstyle prompt information are sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker, which forwards the request to Google Gemini API for AI processing.
Google Gemini API is used only to generate haircut recommendations and hairstyle preview images.
Haircut AI does not use submitted photos, face data, prompts, or generated outputs to train or fine-tune AI models.
Google’s Gemini API policies may allow Google to retain prompts, contextual information, and outputs for a limited period, including up to 55 days, for abuse monitoring, safety, security, and policy enforcement purposes.
Storage, Retention, and Deletion of Face Data
Haircut AI does not permanently store selfie photos, face data, prompts, or generated images on servers controlled by Haircut AI.
Our Cloudflare Worker processes requests in memory and returns the result to the App without saving selfie images, face data, prompts, or generated images to a Haircut AI database or object storage system.
On your device, Haircut AI may store analysis history, including the selected selfie, estimated face-shape result, haircut recommendations, and generated preview image, so you can view prior results inside the App.
This on-device history remains on your device until you delete the history entry or delete the App.
If you save a generated preview image to Apple Photos, that image is stored in your Photos library and can be deleted by you at any time through the Photos app.
Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services to provide certain functionality. These services may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies.
RevenueCat
The App uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat may collect limited purchase-related information such as:

Anonymous device or app instance identifiers
App usage related to purchases
RevenueCat does not receive selfie photos, face data, face-shape analysis, haircut recommendation text, or generated hairstyle preview images from Haircut AI.

PostHog Analytics
The App may use PostHog for anonymous product analytics, such as understanding general app usage and feature performance.
PostHog does not receive selfie photos, face data, face-shape analysis, haircut recommendation text, or generated hairstyle preview images from Haircut AI.
Advertising and Tracking Choices
Where required by law, the App may request consent before showing personalized ads. You can manage ad personalization through your device settings.
Haircut AI does not directly access or control advertising data collected by advertising providers.
Data Sharing
Haircut AI does not sell personal information.
Haircut AI does not share selfie photos or face data for advertising, tracking, profiling, or marketing purposes.
Face data and selected photos are shared only as needed to provide the App’s core AI features, as described in the “Third-Party AI Processing” section above.
Children’s Privacy
Haircut AI does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that such information has been provided, please contact us so appropriate action can be taken.
Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected in the App or on the App Store listing. Continued use of the App indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
